Lenalee means the world to Allen, and protecting her is important to him -- even from himself. He tried to shield her from the knowledge of what's happening with the 14th, but the fact that she accepted him in spite of it is even better. She's died in Haven now and he hates that, so if he ever meets Cain he is going to be mighty neutral at him, let me tell you.

Lavi D. Gray-Man
Things with Lavi are the same as they always are: dorky loser brattiness half the time and relaxed friendship the rest of the time. They do a pretty good job between them of pretending that nothing horrible is happening. Terrible canon coping mechanisms? Anyway, Lavi is someone Allen can always rely on.

Tyki Mikk D. Gray-Man
In another world, Allen would enjoy Tyki's company. As it is he finds himself struggling to keep things on civil terms: he knows Tyki is dangerous but treating him as such will only make the danger more immediate. He wants to keep things neutral because he still intends on saving Tyki and Road rather than killing them. But now that they're sharing a room... well, neither of them are sleeping very well.

Allen doesn't have a problem with Wisely being in his head so much as he has a problem with Wisely being -- terrible. He's a relentless jerk and feels constantly on the edge of doing something terrible. Road and Tyki have human connections and attachments that Allen can relate to them through, but Wisely has none. It's strange to have this impression about someone who never actually talks, but Allen feels like Tatsumi is an outgoing and good-natured person. He seems friendly and Allen responds to that and enjoys his company -- it's almost normal in a weird way. He's glad there's someone he can get along with easily in housing block 27...

On first impression, Allen thinks he seems like a very intelligent person -- calm, composed, and thoughtful. The fact that he was kidnapped interdimensionally from people who already kidnapped him interdimensionally is alarming, but Helios is just so unfazed that he can't dwell.

On some level he really is the kind of person Allen would imagine if you asked him about a "hero". He's kind and considerate of others, and really worked to improve things in Haven by creating the food stock -- but also light-hearted and fun. He knows how to look the other way when it's needed but seems honest and straightforward himself. Allen admires him and always enjoys talking to him.

Allen doesn't know anything about Nordic myth. Allen may not even know "Nordic" is a word. He doesn't do a lot of reading. But Thor still manages to be impressive. He's a good leader, motivating those around him and organizing them, and a kind person, and he admits to his faults. Allen thinks very highly of him.

There is no faster way to bond with Allen than to selflessly offer him food, but it does help if you both get awkwardly stuck in magical girl clothes after. He's a good person but his mischievous streak and egotistical brattiness charm Allen too. He would happily hang out with Oz whenever. And he has some excellent friends.

Now, this is a guy who's been through a lot. A guy with glowing markings and a spike coming out of the back of his neck. And Allen suspects he's troubled about it -- why wouldn't he be? It's troubling stuff. But... more importantly, he's fun and funny and easy to hang out with. A+ human.

They have a lot in common (even if he has more in common with Kanda...) and Allen knows he's a good person despite the standoffish exterior, so he keeps reaching out. But he still doesn't feel like he's made a lot of progress with him... As closed-off as he is, Allen thinks he must have been hurt badly in the past.

It's so horrible for a little girl to be here, but Yao doesn't have a good track record with little kids, so. Allen feels this instant need to protect her and look out for her more than he would someone older. She's very sweet and determined and he likes her, and the fact that she knows and cares about Fujimaru is extra bonus points.

It's like looking into a rule 63 mirror sometimes Allen really admires Ciel. She's kind and strong, and capable of making decisions that would be impossible for Allen. He was startled and off-put at first by what happened with Minato, but he feels nothing but goodwill toward Ciel now. Especially because she bakes. And she made him food. Miss Ciel is awesome.
